The La Pavoni lever espresso machine, the first of its kind in Italy and Europe, was invented by Desiderio Pavoni and patented by Luigi Bezzera in 1902. This machine, now widely used in coffee and espresso bars globally, produces coffee by passing water and steam from a horizontal boiler through ground coffee at optimal pressure, resulting in a perfectly smooth cup of coffee.
